Television reporter Jack Thurston was let go, along with several others, by New England Cable News as part of a cost cutting plan. Thurston was NECN’s Vermont bureau chief.
After several months of thinking it over Thurston decided to stay in the news business and is joining NBC5 in Burlington.
Thurston will be joining former NBC Connecticut weatherman Tyler Jankoski on the NBC5 team.
