Connecticut native David Ushery, a Saturday night anchor on WNBC-TV in New York, has entered into the sartorial depths of which almost no man behind the anchor desk has gone before: into tie-lessness.
David, a Bloomfield native who graduated from UConn and was an anchor/reporter at WFSB, has dropped the tie from his wardrobe and instead is using the jacket and open collar look. Ushery comments, “I kind of had this idea for it, shooting it in a different style and giving it a little more relaxed feel.”
Is this next for Connecticut’s anchors?
Ties are so cool. I hate tielessness. Soon people will be wearing virtualy nothing. There will be no formal wardrobe.
