Full disclosure: we at The Laurel love George Jepsen. We’re not sucking up to him because he’s now the Attorney General; we’ve known him forever and we like the fact that he’s a policy wonk. To borrow a phrase that Colin McEnroe has coined, Jepsen is “a nerd trapped in a popular person’s body.”
So our A.G. has gone and shaved his head to raise awareness and money for cancer research. There are a lot of men who might not submit to a “shave for a cause” because their hair would grow back a different color. So this gives us the perfect opportunity to wander into a favorite topic of ours: men who dye their hair.
Three words: Don’t do it. It’s always obvious and it never looks “good”. We know…double-standard. Women do it and that’s just fine. Yes, for once there’s a double-standard which doesn’t adversely affect women, so just put down the Grecian Formula and let the gray flow.
