The NewsGuild, the union representing workers at most of Tribune Publishing’s properties, has filed a formal protest with the Securities and Exchange Commission in an effort to stop the sale of Tribune to Alden Global Capital.
The union puts forward several arguments against the sale, but the main argument is that Alden’s buyout offer under values the company.
