If it’s Monday morning there must be news on the offer by Gannett to buy Tribune Publishing* for $864 million or $15 per share.
Tribune is rejecting the offer, but says it will share vital company information with Gannett so the two companies can enter into serious negotiations about a potential deal.
So while rejection can be difficult, a door has been opened.
