The recent resignation of Bruce Karsh as chairman of Tribune Media is being seen as a sign the proposed sale of the company to Sinclair Broadcast Group is a done deal.
Final approval hasn’t been given by the FCC, but it appears efforts by many to oppose the transaction are not working. Tribune Media owns Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut.
Recent reports suggest Sinclair is making no promises about job retention once the takeover is complete. There are also continuing concerns about Sinclair’s use of its stations to promote a conservative public policy agenda.
