According to the Wall Street Journal, the Journal Inquirer has filed papers with the FCC to prevent Tribune Co. from obtaining licenses to operate two TV stations in the area. The JI argues that Tribune “utilized the television stations to bolster advertising revenues by offering advertisers discounted rates for purchasing ads with both the
television stations and the newspaper.”
