It appears there is a move inside the tronc organization to change the company’s corporate name back to the Tribune Publishing Company.
Tronc, which owns the Hartford Courant, changed its name two years ago as part of an effort to put its focus on digital content(Tribune On-line Content). The media world reacted poorly to the concept and now it looks like at least one powerful board member wants to end the tronc era.
