For the second time in less than a month, The New York Times has published an editorial declaring one of the two presumptive major party presidential candidates unfit for office.
Thursday morning, the paper’s lead editorial pronounced former President Donald Trump as “Unfit To Lead” in the form of a five point indictment that declares him “dangerous in word, deed and action.”
On June 28, the Times published an editorial saying Joe Biden should step aside – as his party’s nominee – “to serve his country.”
While the Times has been leading the conversation over fitness for office, polling has indicated for over a year that many if not most voters have wanted two different choices since this campaign began. Events and the news media are just catching up with four months to go.
