Former WFSB and Hartford Courant reporter David Ushery has been named to succeed Chuck Scarborough as the anchor of WNBC’s flagship 6p.m. newscast beginning December 16.

Ushery will continue anchoring the 4p.m. and 11p.m. newscasts – assignments he was given last year. Scarborough announced his retirement last week after more than 50 years with WNBC. Ushery has been with the station just over 20 years.
