The HAN Network, owner of a dozen weekly newspapers in Connecticut is shutting down five of them, citing economic forces.
The Easton Courier, Monroe Courier, Redding Pilot, Stratford Star and Weston Forum are ceasing publication. The company will continue to publish the Darien Times, New Canaan Advertiser, Wilton Bulletin, Ridgefield Press, Milford Mirror, Trumbull Times and Shelton Herald.
