In a presidential campaign in which truth, competency and other virtues appear to have taken a holiday, it is hard to say whether Gary Johnson’s major gaff on Thursday morning makes any difference at all.
Appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe(hosted by Joe Scarborough of New Canaan) the Libertarian candidate drew a blank when asked what he would do about the situation in Aleppo, Syria.
Johnson’s answer: What is Aleppo? Asked whether he was serious, Johnson deadpanned that he was.
Within minutes the question “what is Aleppo” was hash tagged and trending on social media.
