Wheelhouse Campaign Trail

Starting this week WNPR’s weekly political round-table show – The Wheelhouse! – will begin a series of candidate interviews. This is a break from Wheelhouse tradition which is usually centered on commentary from reporters and other political observers.

Between now and Election Day the Wheelhouse will interview candidates for mayor in the state’s major cities. Host Frankie Graziano stressed in a news release that “these aren’t debates,” but conversations meant to reveal where the candidates stand on the issues.

The Wheelhouse is also looking for production help:

The ideal producer has deep knowledge of Connecticut politics including the infrastructure within the governor’s administration, the Connecticut General Assembly, and how the 169 towns interact with state government. They follow politics nationally and understand how to connect it to a local audience in Connecticut. This person would work closely throughout the week with host Frankie Graziano – from booking guests to writing content for the show. This is a temporary position with a maximum of 19 hours per week. Hourly rate is between $21-31/hr depending on level of experience.
