ICYMI – Here are some of the headlines in local media from the holiday week.
Tyler Jankoski. The NBC CT meteorologist – who started at the station as an intern – has decided to take a position at WPTZ/WNNE in Vermont. He’ll be a full time on-air meteorologist and be in charge of designing graphics. Jankoski seems especially pleased to be joining Hearst Television, which he said in a social media post, has a “solid reputation” as a media company. Jankoski is a Connecticut native.
Erin Logan. After one year, the Fox 61 reporter has left the building telling New England One she has plans to write a book and further develop her own line of jewelry. Before her time at Fox 61 Logan worked for WTNH.
Gayle King. The former WFSB anchor is part of the three member team getting credit for pulling CBS This Morning closer in the ratings battle of the network morning shows. Five years of consistent growth!
Stork Parade. Over the holidays the Fox 61 news family grew with both anchor Audrey Kuchen and meteorologist Rachel Frank having babies.
Audrey Grasso. The former Newtown Bee and Voices reporter died last week at the age of 80.
Joe Scarborough. MSNBC is using the New Canaan resident’s access to Donald Trump to brand its Morning Joe program as the place for breaking news on the incoming Trump administration.
Lennie Grimaldi. Over the weekend the on-line reporter/editor/publisher marked the ten year anniversary of his website Only in Bridgeport. Grimaldi, a former Joe Ganim political advisor, is in perfect position to write about the city and its returning mayor with the eye of a former insider.
