It has been pointed out to us more than once that the news media are a bit haphazard in their use of the term “Greenwich Millionaire”. Ned Lamont/Tom Foley/Linda McMahon – all “Greenwich Millionaires”, but frequently it’s only Ned Lamont who gets tagged as such. In a recent story one of our favorite Connecticut newspapers referred to US Senate candidate Linda McMahon as “wrestling entrepreneur Linda McMahon” while possible gubernatorial candidate Ned Lamont was referred to as “Greenwich millionaire Ned Lamont”. And in one of the same paper’s editorials soon thereafter, Tom Foley was dubbed “former Ambassador to Ireland” Tom Foley while Lamont was again, “Greenwich millionaire Ned Lamont”.
