WNPR Reporter/Producer Samaia Hernandez (pictured), formerly of the Hartford Courant, is leaving journalism and heading inside the Malloy administration. She’s moving into the role of press secretary, held until now by Juliet Manalan. Juliet is moving to Colleen Flanagan Johnson’s former role as spokesperson for the state’s merged public university and college system (Colleen is now head of Corporate Communications for Magellan Health Services).
