Bruce Putterman, the publisher of CTMirror.org, has announced a new comments policy for the new year.
In a message to the Mirror’s email lists Putterman says the comments section of the policy driven news site has become a “crude” shouting match. He promises that in the new year comments will be actively edited to maintain the section as a place where thoughtful discussion can take place.
The Mirror is only the latest news publication to be forced to take action in the socially devolved, courtesy free space known as “the comments section.”
