Rob Morrison was a morning anchor at WVIT, NBC30 before he headed to New York…and a tabloid storm last year. But he may be coming back to this market.

Rob Morrison, who resigned as the morning news anchor at WCBS-2 in New York one year ago, has been offered a reporter and weekend news anchor job at WTNH-8-ABC in New Haven, CT (Market #30), NewsBlues has learned.
Morrison is expected to replace Jeff Valin, whose contract expires at the end of the week.
As happens so often in this business, it’s a personal contact that will allow Morrison to return to TV. His new boss, WTNH News Director Al Carl, is an old friend.
Morrison and his wife, former CBS MoneyWatch anchor Ashley Morrison, live in Darien, CT…about 35 miles from the WTNH-8-ABC studios.
The station is expected to make an announcement soon. We’re told Morrison has satisfied all of his court-ordered obligations from last year’s arrest and he and Ashley have fully reconciled their differences.
