ICYMI – Friday morning NBC News ran a Matt Lauer interview of Brian Williams on the Today Show.
The interview was in two parts. First, Williams was questioned about his public statements that turned out not to be true and in the second part of the interview he talked a bit about his new role at MSNBC.
Lauer did a credible job holding Williams accountable, but there will no doubt be some who won’t be satisfied and Williams acknowledged that.
One of Williams’ strengths is his ability to project extreme confidence on air. The Williams we see in this interview is visibly nervous, shaken, contrite and even sweating – as he tries to explain himself.
