The first of what is expected to be a series of changes is making news at MSNBC.

Joy Reid is being replaced as the host of the network’s 7p.m. hour by the trio of hosts currently anchoring The Weekend on Saturdays and Sundays. The New York Times is also reporting Alex Wagner, will not return to the anchor chair in three months as originally planned and may be replaced by former White House press secretary and Connecticut native Jen Psaki. Wagner is expected to stay with the network as a political reporter. The Times reports other changes are expected as MSNBC shakes up its line-up in an effort to improve ratings.

Across town, at The New Yorker, things are stubbornly stable as the opinion leading journal celebrates its 100th anniversary. This weekend, The Washington Post published a story featuring ten of the magazine’s most notable covers.
