Not unexpectedly, Susan Zirinsky, is reportedly close to stepping down as president of CBS News. She has held the position for two years as part of short-term contract and will stay on until her replacement is named, according to several reports.
Zirinisky is credited with making moves to shore up and re-align CBS This Morning, which is hosted by WFSB alum Gayle King. She’s also credited with the decision to move Norah O’Donnell off the morning show to anchor the CBS Evening News.
Zirinsky is expected to sign a new production deal with ViacomCBS.
