More than a year ago The Laurel was in mourning that longtime friend Rick Green was leaving the Hartford Courant. Rick returned to his home state to serve as Director of Communications for the University of Vermont Foundation in Burlington. Well, the grass wasn’t greener in the Green Mountain State (yeah, that was weak); actually, the commute back and forth to CT and his family wasn’t easy. We’re happy to report that Rick has just returned to 285 Broad Street as the Courant’s new Metro Editor, overseeing politics and business as well as some other areas.
